CommentsNC does not maintain a state-wide waiting list for DD services. The figure above was compiled through a telephone surevy by The Arc of NC (late summer 2007) of all Local Management Entities (LMEs). Three LMEs (of 25) did not furnish the number of people waiting in thier catchment area. Therefore, the number above is less than the actual number of people waiting in NC.
